Department Stores Belgrade (RKB) offer modern retail centers and business premises. They own 27 department stores and 1 business center in attractive, central locations of all major cities in Serbia. In accordance with modern trends in the organization and management of real estate, RKB offers modern and flexible spaces. As such, tenants can adapt them to their needs.
From the beginning to the present day
Department stores Belgrade were founded in 1965 by integrating the companies "Belgrade", "Nama", "Grmag" and "Modna kuća". They officially started working on January 1, 1966. In the mid-1980s, RKB achieved the third highest turnover in Europe. RKB was a leader when it comes to product range, service, and attitude towards employees.
In October 2007, the company "Verano Motors" won the auction for the sale of the bankrupt company. With the Greek partner Marfin Investment Group, she paid the sum of 360 million euros at the beginning of January 2008, and thus they became the owners of RKB.
As of August 2022, RKB is 100% owned by the Greek investment company Marfin Investment Group (MIG).
Activity
Belgrade department stores continued to operate according to the highest ethical standards. In their work, they strive to act responsibly towards partners, tenants, consumers, employees and their families.
Although the primary activity is no longer direct trade but renting out office space. They are dedicated to setting the standard in business innovation.
